TOWNSHIP MANAGER—Lower Heidelberg Township (population approx. 6230), Berks County, PA seeks an experienced leader to serve as its Township Manager. The Manager has the authority to supervise and direct all day-to-day operations, and coordinates with a three-member Board of Supervisors. Lower Heidelberg is located in the west central part of Berks County. The Manager administers a General Fund annual budget of over $6,000,000, with another almost $4,000,000 in Sewer, Capital, and Liquid Fuels funds, along with 15 FTE employees. The Township is in excellent condition with strong operating reserves. Lower Heidelberg is experiencing strong residential development. The Board of Supervisors seeks an outstanding, communicative, and innovative leader with demonstrated skills in community engagement. Candidates should have (1) 5 yrs. of municipal experience; (2) knowledge of modern local government management principles; (3) strong financial skills & planning/public works experience; (4) Bachelor’s Degree is preferred, however, a combination of education and demonstrated experience may be considered. Salary range $100,000-$130,000 with excellent benefits. Actual salary to be based on experience/qualifications.
