With a population of over 10,000 residents, our community is a blend of rural open spaces and suburban development, adjacent to the bustling college town of West Chester.
The Zoning and Codes Enforcement Officer serves as the primary contact for inquiries and complaints related to zoning and code issues. Responsibilities include investigating, interpreting, and enforcing zoning and codes matters, as well as reviewing building and zoning permit applications for compliance with the Township Zoning Code. Additionally, the person in this role will prepare correction letters, notices of violations, and stop work orders, working closely with violators to resolve issues amicably whenever possible. The Zoning and Codes Enforcement Officer also plays a key role as a liaison to the Historical Commission, Historical Architectural Review Board, and Zoning Hearing Board.
