The Code Enforcement / Zoning / Permit Officer is responsible for administering and enforcing municipal codes, ordinances, property maintenance regulations, zoning administration, building and safety codes, permit regulations, soliciting, related state and local regulations, and the responsibility to issue citations for non-compliance. The position involves conducting inspections, investigating complaints, documenting violations, educating residents and businesses, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and ordinances to protect public health, safety, and welfare. The officer serves as the primary point of contact for residents, contractors, and developers regarding zoning, land use, and permitting processes, while maintaining accurate records and supporting orderly community development.
Applicant must have ability to interpret ordinances, regulations, and construction documents, have excellent communication skills and work well as a team member. Field related experience is preferred.
